The Ultimate JB Thrift Guide: Part 2

Personally, I love thrifting! So it’s no doubt I’ve made it my little personal mission to conquer thrifting in JB! This is by no means an exhaustive guide, but it’s part 2 of the ultimate guide I wanna create :)

📍Location 002: King’s Outlet, Jalan Utama, Kampung Melayu Majidee, 81100, JB

⏰ Opening Time: 2pm

King’s Outlet consists of 2 sections, the thrift section and the curated section. It’s size is considerably smaller the The Big Bundle and it’s thrift section’s quality was unfortunately not as great as The Big Bundle’s! My time to #SpillTheTea I guess…

👕✅ However, it’s curated section was pretty amazing, albeit at a higher price point than most thrift stores. It’s jeans that were of better quality were priced RM40 onwards, which is still alright for a pair of thrifted jeans, but definitely more expensive than other thrift shops. I found a pair of Levi’s 501s but they went for RM70 haha 🚶

📌 Vests

Personally, I’d recommend the vests rack in the thrift sections; you can find pretty decent street wear vests for only RM5. I found a few basic color vests, black, white, khaki and cargo colours! The price range is RM5-8.

👖 Jeans/Pants

Definitely head down to King’s Outlet if you’re looking for a curated jean selection. Here’s why you should look out for their jeans although they’re priced slightly higher than elsewhere: The range, the curation, the quality & the cleanliness of the thrift area! You can really see the effort in maintaining an excellent selection of pants/jeans in the curated section; the variety of brands, cuts and sizes was really impressive :)

Overall, I’d recommend heading down for a good pair of jeans/pants and it’s just minutes away from Keijometo so you could definitely head down there after lunch!
