WORST character cafe experience in Seoul 😒

to start off, i would like to say that i was really excited to go there and visit the merch store. they only take customers with reservations, which you have to book on Naver like months in advance. i went in knowing i wouldn’t be able to get a reservation, i just wanted to get a drink and buy merch okay 😭😭😭

🗣️ first of all, please go with Papago translation app ready!! the staff cannot speak English well so you gotta be prepared. this is nothing against them, but just have your app ready so it’s easier for you to communicate with them!!

🍺 the drinks are super artificial and EXPENSIVE!! i definitely recommend you just buy Starbucks or any cafe drink which is cheaper 😂

😱 the worst part was when i was buying merchandise and paying, i was given the wrong change. i then nicely said “sorry, you gave me the wrong change” and proceeded to argue with the staff for 15min in Korean 😒 i cannot imagine how frustrating it would be if i wasn’t able to speak Korean. all the staff were super unhelpful with the reservation making, the customer service was utter crap and i was SO disappointed 🥲

💸 if you are a sanrio fan like me, it is worth it to go to buy some souvenirs as certain items are cheaper than Singapore, but don’t expect stellar customer service & remember to ask for tax refund!!

i think you should just skip this cafe if you were planning to go. i was super upset with the whole experience and just so disappointed 😭😭
