your sign to bake & decorate christmas cookies!🎄🎅

as per our yearly tradition of baking pastries and desserts, my friends and i decided to do a ❄️☃️ christmas themed bake 🍪🍰 this year (in an attempt to outdo our version of the gorgeously delicious focaccia ).

the recipe we used for the gingerbread-men-shaped ⭐️ sugar cookies was based off claire saffitz version of sugar cookies , with adjustments made to counter the 💦 humidity & heat 🥵 of our climate.

the frosting ❄️ was made using a pre-packed frosting mix that we got from phoon huat, to which we mixed variations of food coloring to get different hues.

initially, we had wanted to use piping bags 👩‍🍳 to get better precision, but we came to realise that we didn’t have enough frosting to pipe out, and decided to use the backs of spoons 🥄 instead. while it was a messy attempt, we had so much fun playing around with the different colored frosting!

baking with friends 🧁🎂🥨 has always been a fun & delicious bonding activity for us, & we’re so glad that we have the rest of the month to explore new recipes!
