4th best small city in the world 🌎

Florence has earned the spot for the 4th best small city in the entire world! And for good reason - there’s SO much to see in Florence. I think someone should stay at least 3 days to really experience everything.

However, here are some things I did that I would highly recommend, especially if you’re on a budget👇

👀Look inside the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore (aka Duomo). This is completely free, however if you want to go to the top of the Cupola or the bell tower, you’ll have to buy a ticket. Totally up to you! Also, get there very early or be prepared to wait in a long line. It’s open Monday thru Saturday from 10:15am-3:45pm.

🍷Try the wine at Cantina De' Pucci (Restaurant & Wine Window / Buchetta del Vino)! Florence is known for its wine windows (like a drive-thru for glasses of wine on the sidewalk 😂) and there are a few scattered throughout the city, however this one is close to the center and I found it to be very reasonably priced. It also has a cute spot with tables and chairs outside for you to sit and enjoy your wine.

🥀Visit the Giardino delle Rose for an amazing view of the city and some beautiful scenery 🌳 it’s a bit of a walk up to the garden, maybe 25-30 minutes, but it’s the perfect spot to grab a bottle of wine and watch the sunset over the Florence surrounded by lovely flower arrangements. Also free!

👨‍🎨See the Replica of statue of David, or if you want to buy tickets, the real Statue of David created by Michaelangelo is located in the Galleria dell’Accademia di Firenze open Tuesday thru Sunday from 8:15am to 6:20pm. Tickets are around 21 USD and be sure to buy them way ahead of time to avoid it selling out!

🍝 Have dinner at Osteria Giglio d'oro. I ordered the Carbonara which was delicious, however they have a lots of options on the menu. Pasta dishes range from 10-30 USD depending on what you order. The service and ambiance were perfect here 🤍 there’s also an option to sit outside!
