now before any of the booktok girlies attack me- this is my opinion and I’m about to explain why—>

I just want to start with simply saying that the Grumpy x Sunshine trope isn’t necessarily my favorite. It’s boring and a little predictable every time. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed this read, It just isn’t Ana’s best work imo. 🤷‍♀️

Alex Volkov is the kind of character thats ONLY allowed to exist on paper. I’d be scared if I was Ava. Imagine following a girl to FRANCE 😬. Am i the only one who sees the problem?? (and of course I understand it’s a work of fiction- but i prefer realistic and relatable characters. Alex isn’t my cup of ☕️ )

“Operation Emotion” made me cringe. Enough said.

I REALLY need to know what Ana’s childhood was like because GIRL. Your characters have some serious trauma. Alex watched his family die and was being deceived by his uncle his whole life and Ava’s dad has been lying to her after trying to kill her. TWICE.

But with all that being said, it wasn’t the worst book. I can still appreciate Alex and Ava’s dynamic, and I can definitely appreciate a man like Alex despite his (many) imperfections.
