RELATIONSHIP TIPS I WISH I KNEW SOONER

Me and my husband recently got married, but have been together for over 14 years. It has been a journey of highs and lows, but there are some things that have really helped contribute to our long lasting relationship.

Here are 3 relationship tips I wish I knew sooner:

1: communication is the key to success ~ Communication is something me and my husband constantly work on. Communication is so crucial to a successful relationship because it's the building block for a healthy and successful marriage. Having good communication with your partner helps you both to understand each other and makes planning your future together so much easier

2: independence & setting boundaries ~ In any new relationship, it may be easy to get caught up in the moment and forget about all the other things. However, I believe it is important to continue doing things outside of the relationship, such as individual hobbies and spending time with others (ex: girl time, family, friends, etc)

3: continue doing all the little things ~ It’s so important to continue doing all the little things to keep the romance alive. Plan surprises for your significant other, plan weekly or monthly date nights. Remember, it’s the little moments that will keep the spark going and your relationship strong!
