- Schmidt’s Sausage Haus Restaurant - authentic homemade German food. We had the strawberry fizz. Their bratwurst and brisket were delish, both served with sides such as sauerkraut, apple sauce and potatoes. To finish it off we had the jumbo cream puff - mountains of cream. Yum😋

-Schiller Park - this beautiful garden is the Central Park of the German village with beautiful gardens and status - it’s most famous of which is the umbrella girl

- while walking along the paths you’ll encounter beautiful gardens, house facades and hidden gems like the littles - the smallest residents of the German village

- The Book Loft of German Village - a one of a kind book store, this lovely place houses 32 rooms full of books - a book lovers paradise

- Schwartz Castle - an iconic feature of the German village this castle was built by its namesake - Frederich Wilhelm Schwartz in 1880. The house is 5 stories high and is divided into suites which can be rented through AirBNB. It is said, however, that the house is haunted, so enter if you dare. Legend has it that Schwartz built this for his soon to be wife who was still in Germany at the time. She, however, broke off the engagement sending him into a downward spiral. It is said he still haunts the house at night and his ghost can sometimes be seen on top of the roof watching the people below.
