things i did around taipei 101

need a day itinerary of what to do around taipei 101? here’s what i did, from start to finish, for your inspiration!

🍳 BREAKFAST: Fuhang Soy Milk

fuhang soy milk is known to be one of taipei’s most popular breakfast place. we reached at about 845am, and had to wait 20-30 minutes to climb the stairs into the hawker center. make sure to reach as early as 830am to avoid the queue!

i bought the following which are my recommendations for you as well!

1. SOY MILK (COLD) - NO. 1: ⭐️⭐️⭐️

the soy milk was sweet and authentic, they were really generous with the amount provided as well. i highly recommend the cold soy milk!

2. SIGNATURE THICK BREAD WITH EGG AND DONUT STICK - NO. 14: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

it contained 4 donut sticks with that thick bread and it was so filling! really the prime item of fuhang soy milk!

3. EGGS WITH GREEN ONION - NO. 43: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

the eggs with green onion were really flavourful as a “light” snack, although it can be a whole meal. would recommend if you have a love for eggs and a big appetite, because i could not finish that!

🚶‍♀️ HIKING: 象山

we made our way to xiang shan (elephant mountain), via train to xiang shan station. take your time to face the uphill battle and enjoy a beautiful view of taipei 101 (which i gave up on, sorry).

🍜 LUNCH: Din Tai Fung 101

make sure to get a queue number at din tai fung, and stroll around the shops of taipei 101! we arrived at 12pm and only waited for 15 minutes before we were given a seat!

🏫 ACTIVITY 1: National Taiwan University

national taiwan university’s campus is massive, and full of greens with a big pond. we saw a turtle drying its shell and it was so cute! we were able to walk by and admire the dormitory buildings and their merchandise store, which has an appearance of a small cozy cottage. they mostly sell hoodies and jackets, as well as t-shirts, pins and notepads.

🏙 ACTIVITY 2: Taipei 101 Observatory

we booked the taipei 101 observatory at 4pm, which was a great timing to explore the observatory as well as watch the sunset. we got our tickets from klook which, in my opinion, were initially confusing to redeem.

apart from the amazing view (which is not guaranteed, depending on the weather), there are also exhibitions on how the stability of the tower is ensured, adorable mascots, a cafe and beautiful decoration for photo taking you don’t want to miss!

😊 OVERALL: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

taipei 101 is an amazing place to soak up on the view of taiwan. do not miss these places out!
