Hidden gem in NYC - Oyster Bay

Hey hey! I am back with some inspo when it comes to scape from the city, in this case from New York.

Not so far away from Manhattan and Brooklyn in Long Island there’s a very nice area in the Bay side. Long Island has an ocean beach, yes, but if you look for calm and not so cold water, the bay is your place.

We spent a night at a friend’s house in Oyster Bay and it’s a beautiful area surrounded by beaches, nature and lovely villages and houses. You can go to the Bayville Beach, Stehli Beach, Roosevelt Beach… there are plenty of them! 🐚

🏫There’re also historic places around like Sagamore Hill which Theodore Roosevelt used to live which is free!

🚉 You can arrive to this place by Grand Central Station. You can take any of these branches to Jamaica station:

• Babylon Branch

• Far Rockaway Branch

• Hempstead Branch

• Ronkonkoma Branch

🍹For the ones interested, here’s the Paloma cocktail recipe:

• 2 oz of Tequila – Use any good-quality blanco tequila in this recipe.

• 2 oz Grapefruit juice and 2 oz Sparkling water

• ½ oz of Lime juice

• ½ of Agave nectar or syrup – you can add more if you feel like, but this cocktail should never be sweet. This may help you to rest some bitterness.

• Salt – For the rim of your glass

• Ice – add it with the mix to a blender.
