solo dating with Jesus.

this month, i told myself that i wanted to be intentional with my relationship with God. i told myself i was going to be dating Jesus. setting aside time for just Him and I.

the other day, i ended up staying awake for 24 hours. and within those 24 hours, i barely read the word, prayed, and God convicted me at 5 in the morning.

so i threw on some random clothes, grabbed my bible, journal, pens, and told myself i was going to catch the sunrise with Jesus. i was up and had so much energy, i might as well right?

BEST THING EVER.

the tranquility that you experience in the morning is incomparable.

my study was on Ephesians 4. i want to encourage you to read the whole chapter in its entirety! UH-MAZE-ING! here’s some quick recap notes if you’re interested:

• as the body of Christ, we have to be unified— both in a physical and spiritual sense.

• forgiveness, humbleness, gentleness, is required of us

• the ministerial gifts that were given are to build up the body, which should lead to further unity until Christ comes.

• if we’re unified, we won’t be easily confused and tampered with

• we are to live by the Spirit and not by flesh

• kindness is Godliness

• watch your tongue whenever you are angry. if it’s not edifying, stay silent.
