flipping a dress to a skirt ✂️

i try so hard to be a long skirt girlie, but sometimes it just doesn’t work bahaha. i bought this skirt a while ago and could never get it styled quite right for my body! so why not make it into something i’d actually wear on the reg :-)

here’s some of the process:

- i seam ripped the entire thing like a madman and realized i had A LOT of fabric to work with

- i made a pattern out of an old tank that i love the fit of

- i cut the top out and used the remaining fabric to make a gathered skirt

- then biased taped the edges and added a long black lining to the skirt and voilà!
