tips for getting out of a reading slump! 💭

last year i read 22 books & my goal was 15 but this year i haven't even finished 1 book yet 🥴🥲

1.) reread some favorites ❤️‍🩹

- maybe it's time to give some of the books you first read another try your reading taste may have changed since then!

2.) read something fast paced 🕯️

- i typically pick up manga or something lighter like comics which are usually so much fun

3.) try a new genre 📖

- maybe it's time to put down the self help & try some light romance !

4.) let it pass! 🤞🏼

- sometimes not reading & letting it come back naturally is the key to avoid frustration & not finishing books you'd usually enjoy

5.) watch reading vlogs 📸

- my faves are throne of pages & chloe bunnie on youtube !

6.) don't annotate 💭

- sometimes adding the pressure of highlighting, tabbing & jotting down your thoughts makes reading feel like a chore & not a fun hobby put away the annotating supplies !
