Useful tips for flying solo ✈️😊

I took a total of 12 solo flights in 2022, 11 of which were low-cost carrier flights so the price of each ticket was only < $300. The cheapest flight I took was only $45 from Melbourne to Sydney and the most expensive flight was the SQ flight from SG to Sydney which cost >$1000.

🌟Tip 1!

Get some food at the departure hall so you can bring them up the flight to snack on! This is especially important if you aint got meals on your low-cost carrier flights! It is easy to get tempted to purchase food on the plane as the smell of the meals on flight is actually really good. But if your flight is a short one or you don’t feel like eating a meal on flight, you can purchase some snacks before boarding and it’s also cheaper to buy them from stores than on flight:)

🌟Tip 2!

Bring a water bottle and refill it before boarding the flight. Water is chargeable on low-cost airlines zzz paying $5 for a bottle of water is #NotForMe and doesn’t sound appealing at all so remember to refill your bottle and drink lots of water to stay hydrated throughout your flight!

🌟Tip 3!

Get a portable digital luggage scale to weigh your baggage prior to the flight and add additional baggage if necessary. If you realise that you have exceed your baggage at the airport, the cost of purchasing extra baggage is extremely high. Add any additional baggage before your flight via the manage booking portal (you can do so up to the check-in time of the flight). Do this to avoid any additional costly expenses💸
