Located near Chiayi and ngl, the city is basically quite boring but the joy of heading up to Alishan more than makes up for it. We enjoyed the breathtaking fall foliage and the amazing vibes/scenery at Alishan 🥹

We booked a day tour via Klook, which included all the essentials (transportation, lunch, drinks, snacks, railway tickets), and there was ample alone time to take the Alishan forest railway train, a casual walk around Alishan National Forest Recreation Area, and Fenchihu Lake! The tour’s pace was also great; I noticed many elderly people walking around, and there are plenty of resting spots for them to chill and take a breather~

Just 1.5 hours away from Taipei, I highly recommend adding it to your Taiwan itinerary! 💯
