Cool Neighbourhood in Bangkok You Should Visit 🥳

The number one area that all of us Singaporeans love going to would definitely be Siam, but here’s another neighbourhood with lots of hidden gems worth checking out: 𝑨𝑹𝑰 𝑵𝑬𝑰𝑮𝑯𝑩𝑶𝑼𝑹𝑯𝑶𝑶𝑫.

🌺 𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐘𝐎𝐘 𝐂𝐀𝐅𝐄

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭: Vibrant cafe decorated with lots of flowers that serves traditional Thai kueh and delicacies.

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: This is actually a chain (found one at Siam Paragon too), but this particular outlet is much more vibey and less crowded. They really went all out with the floral deco here. Lovely ambiance, and my parents said that the delicacies were really good too.

📸 𝐆𝐔𝐌𝐏’𝐒 𝐀𝐑𝐈

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬: Community space with lots of insta-worthy photo spots and cafes.

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: Felt a little underwhelmed because I thought it’d be bigger. Nevertheless, had a good time taking photos at the photo booth and at the other photo spots.

☕️ 𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐀 𝐂𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐄𝐄 𝐑𝐎𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭: Cafe with award-winning brews, boasting a nice interior and lush backyard.

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: I loved this cafe a lot… did a full review of it in a previous post!

🖼️ 𝐌𝐀𝐃𝐁𝐀𝐂𝐎𝐍

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭: Artsy cafe and store that sells works by independent Thai artists.

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: The store and its curation of works was smaller than expected. I did see risograph prints that were half the price of what you would find in Singapore though, so that’s pretty worth it if you’re into that. There were also some cute socks and shirts.

🦑 𝐋𝐀𝐘 𝐋𝐀𝐎

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭: Michelin guide restaurant specialising in cuisine from Hua Hin.

𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬: My mum’s standard for food is quite high and she really enjoyed this hahah. The Sweet & Sour Spicy Fish was really good. Another signature is their somtam but I don’t eat that so I can’t review that..

Ari is located in the middle of Siam and Chatuchak, so it’s a great pit stop before heading to Chatuchak. I spent ~3 hours in this neighbourhood in total, including lunch time.
