book recs from books-a-million 📚

i’ve rated these all fairly okay and i don’t wanna hear about how you loveee said book with a low rating 🙄

i typically enjoy reading female angst/rage and books-a-million didn’t have a good selection of what i’ve read/or typically do but i just picked up the ones that i saw while browsing.

tender is the flesh - couldn’t get into it, boring boring boring (i’m sorry!!)

the virgin suicides - lol if she got this in her book collection stay away from her..

it’s so good and very emotional, i did watch the movie twice before reading (in high school) also believe i should add a trigger warning on this book.

the perfect marriage - read on my kindle (it was free at the time) slightly boring start and i was contemplating not finishing it until i got to the middle of the book and was instantly hooked, the ending had a twist.

gone girl - also watched the movie before reading the actual book and because of that i almost didn’t finish. the book is better than the movie, i promise.

white oleander - such a good one, very emotional read. i liked the movie but the book is WAY better.

luster - love that the main character is a black woman, book was good the first half when she got involved with the older man. i related to the character but then towards the ending it was disappointing, almost upsetting how badly it ended.
