As a fully remote girly, sometimes I need a change of scenery from my New York City apartment. If I’m having an admin day (little to no meetings), I like to post up at a coffee shop or co-working area to prevent myself from gravitating towards my living room couch! This is just the start of some great places I personally have been to work remotely. More to come!

📍Location: CitizenM Hotel on Bowery

📝 LOVE this spot! This is truly meant for those looking to get work done in a trendy atmosphere. When you walk into the hotel, you will find a winding staircase on the left to go down to the working area. They have elevators as well. They have stage seating, long tables, couches, and outdoor seating. There is also a bar where you can order food and drinks. The restrooms are located on the same floor. The times I’ve been here haven’t been super busy. I’ve always been able to find a spot; however, I could see this space getting busy at times. They even have two Mac desktops at a table, but that may be for hotel guests.

👍 No pressure to buy anything

👍 Outlets

👍 Free Wi-Fi

👍 Lots of space!

📍Location: Ludlow Hotel

📝 Smaller space with select areas to choose from. When you walk in you have to kind of act like you know what you are doing! So I suggest not wandering aimlessly. Walk past the front desk and go back towards the couch area or outdoor seating area (lobby lounge and garden). I would only recommend this if you are studying, reading, or anything that doesn’t involve too much desk space. The Garden has tables, but the lobby lounge don’t really have functional desk space. The only good desk space is when you first walk into the hotel, there is a table immediately to the right of the front desk. This spot is great for some but not for others!

👍 Free Wi-Fi

🤔 Pressure to buy something (if you are not a hotel guest, they request you to either buy an alcoholic beverage or a drink and an entree).

🤔 Small space

📍Location: Pause Cafe in Lower East Side

📝 Perfect spot for great weather. Their outdoor seating area is so cute and cozy with Moroccan vibe. When you walk in they have a Moroccan fountain by the entrance. Quick eats like pastries or you can sit down and enjoy a long list of their food and drink items. They have breakfast all day.

👍 Outlets

👍 Free Wi-Fi

👍 Lots of seating inside and out

🤔 Music can be loud inside. I’ve only sat outside which I recommend!
