“Practice Makes Perfect” by Sarah Adams || Review

“Practice Makes Perfect” is the second standalone book in Sarah Adam’s “When in Rome” series. While the first book followed small town pie shop owner Noah Walker and popstar Amelia Rose’s love story, the second book is all about Noah’s younger sister Annie and Amelia’s bad boy bodyguard Will.

Because I enjoyed “When in Rome”, I figured I was going to love Annie’s story, but I had no idea just how much. This book was ✨everything✨. It follows Annie on her journey to find her perfect match, except she’s convinced she’s bad at dating. Naturally, she convinces Will, the one person who doesn’t believe in love and has no plans on staying in Rome, Kentucky, to be her dating coach.

This story starts out with Annie convinced that she needs to find her true love to fill the void she’s been feeling, and turns into her finding so much more than someone to spend her life with. It was a journey of both Annie and Will finding themselves and working through their traumas together. It was about Annie finding the confidence to become the most authentic version of herself, in spite of the boxes everyone else in her life was keeping her in. The romance was swoon-worthy and sweet, but what really stuck with me was the way they communicated. I have never read a book with more healthy communication (and fun banter) than this one, and I loved every second of it.

This very quickly became one of my favorite books of all time.
