Sushi Picnic Idea

It is picnic season in NYC. Shinn East is an omakase place in East Village and they offer these adorable takeout boxes. A perfect Saturday afternoon would be getting this box and heading over to Thompkins Square Park a few blocks away and setting up a blanket

Just look at the cute packaging. The ones I got were on the pricier end, but they also have two boxes that are $30. You can add on nigiri to them as well.

What I ordered:

Omakase box - $69 - 8/10

12 pieces of seasonal nigiri and 1 maki set

Delicious. Beautiful. Favorite pieces were the wagyu with caviar and the ikura. The pieces are nicely seasoned as well with a varieyt of different toppings too.

Literally Everything Don - $78 - 10/10

Sweet Shrimp, Hokkaido Scallop, Negi Toro, Hokkaido Uni, Caviar, and Wagyu on a bed of seasoned rice

Honestly so delicious and includes all of my favorite items. Before these boxes, I questioned how fresh the fish would taste since it’s a takeout order, but this box was amazing. There’s so much variety, and I couldn’t be happier that I ordered.
