is starfield library in seoul worth the hype? 🤔📚

hi zesties! if you’re heading to korea and deciding whether you should pay Starfield Library a visit or not, look no further as i’ll be detailing my experience along with what you can expect to do there! 📚

Starfield Library

📍 South Korea, Seoul, Gangnam-gu, Yeongdong-daero, 513 스타필드 코엑스몰 B1

🕛 10.30am-10pm daily

for starters, Starfield Library is conveniently located in the heart of Gangnam, along with other famous spots such as the Gangnam Style Statue, K-pop Square and Coex Mall!

the library houses over 50,000 books, and while most of the books are in Korean, they have a multilingual selection so you might just be able to find an interesting book for yourself 📚

the library itself is a work of art - the intricately-structured ceiling coupled with the iconic, towering wooden shelves definitely make for aesthetic, IG-worthy photos 📸 however, due to the large amount of sunlight which streams through the ceiling, i will say that the library can get pretty hot, especially in the afternoon ☀️

there’s also quite a number of cosy spaces and seats available, but do take note that as the library is perpetually crowded, it can be quite hard to snag a seat! 🥲

and finally, there’s several coffee shops located inside the library, including Starbucks and Arabica Coffee! if those aren’t your jam, the library is directly connected to Coex Mall, so you can easily get a bite/ drink there instead! ☕️

🍋 so is Starfield Library worth going to? imho, while it’s really pretty to take photos of and at, i would say there isn’t too much to do there other than that … if you’re making your way there, then you should definitely check out the other attractions like Gangnam Style Statue, K-pop Square and Coex Mall, and then this visit will definitely make your time worthwhile ❤️‍🔥
