Namu Bulgogi just opened their first outlet in SG!! And Easties we are BLESSED cus the food here is legit good 😭😭😭

They cook their dishes with actual oakwood and fire which is crazy!! Imagine the amount of work needed to maintain the size of the fire and the right amount of wood 🔥

I had the Namu Signature Set and a few more dishes. We were SO FULL and SO SATISFIED after the meal! Here’s my full review (honest opinions only ✋🏼)

🥘 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐮 𝐒𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐭 ($𝟓𝟗)

Includes:

• 2-in-1 Oakwood Smoke-grilled Chicken with Corn Cheese (Original & Gochujang)

⭐️ 10/10

— I generally don’t like overly cheesy food but the cheese taste was mild and went very well with the chicken!

— There was a bit of the smoky 𝙬𝙤𝙠 𝙝𝙚𝙮 taste which only proved that it was grilled well!

• Seafood Fried Rice

⭐️ 5/10

— The rice we got was mushy and the seafood didn’t taste very fresh.

— If not for the texture of the rice, the taste is actually really nice!

• Potato Quail Egg Jangjorim

⭐️ 9/10

— LOVE this cold dish!! Really good light side dish amongst all the heavy food

— -1 star cus I wish there was more 😭

• FREE Chicken Sundubu Jjigae (or +$2 for Seafood Sundubu Jjigae)

— We got the seafood one!

⭐️ 8/10

— The soup was PACKED with fresh tasting seafood!

— Tbh not too sure what super good sundubu jjigae tastes like but I would say this is pretty good (:

• FREE FLOW Kimchi, Radish, and Steamed Rice

— Can’t go wrong with these free flow staples!

— Tbh if you’re a small eater, I would consider turning away the rice bc the seafood fried rice is more than enough to make you feel full!

🔥 Overall the set is really value for money and although meant for 2pax, I think it can feed 3-4 pax also (esp if y’all are small eaters) #WorthIt

• Oakwood Smoke-Grilled Oxtail ($23.90)

⭐️ 9/10

— Grilled till it pretty much slips off the bone 🤤

— Comes with sauce to dip into but also good without the sauce

— Very heavy so goes well with the Potato Quail Egg Jangjorim

• Oakwood Smoke-grilled Baby Octopus with Squid ($19.90)

⭐️ 8/10

— Really generous serving of baby octopus and squid!

— I would say overall taste pretty good! But I think a lot of other dishes far outshines this one.

🥘 𝐒𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬

• Tteokbokki with Homemade Kimari ($12.90)

⭐️9/10

— A solid dish, classic tteokbokki and fish cake dish. You can’t go wrong!

— I love the tteokbokki with the sesame seeds. You could really taste the sesame and that added another layer of flavour to the dish

— The Kimari was alright! First time having this. It was a bit bland but still tasted good (: goes well with the tteokbokki sauce which packs a punch.

• Haemul Pancake ($12.90)

⭐️12/10

— Off the charts!! Soooo good!! If you visit Namu Bulgogi, you NEED to get this!

— Good ratio of flour to filling.

— Korean pancake sauce always tastes good but somehow the sauce here tasted so much better??

— Eat when it’s just served! It’s not as nice when it’s cold
