If you love BFT or F45, this is for you!!
I always love my regular gym sessions but I wanted to try something new! And seriously no regrets. It was so refreshing to do a class based, circuit style strength training. Here’s all the deets!(read to the end for how I got it for almost half price):

📍Studio/Location: they have 2 studios

— Push Pull Give - Kreta Ayer (for Pilates & yoga)
⚪️ Class Type and Cost (without package):

— Strength Training ($35)
— Calisthenics ($35)
— Yoga ($35)
🔵 ClassPass Credits: 7-8
🏋🏻 Class Review:
💪🏻 Class: LIFT Lower (Tiong Bahru)
🏃🏻♀️ Intructor: Angela
— First time doing strength training barefoot? 😳 Had the grippers out for this class 🐾
— For the class, there’s 5 stations of supersets that everyone needs to complete once.
— The instructor will go through each station with the class before splitting us up to do our stations. I came late and missed this but the instructor was very patient with me and explained every station as we moved along.
— The instructor and her assistant will walk around the class to check on everyone’s form and push you to lift heavier if you can. For step ups, I ended up exercising with a dumbbell bc they thought I could make it harder for myself HAHA
— Although this was a lower body class, we also did some core exercises.
— There’s also ample warm up and cool down stretches to get your body ready for the intense class!
— We completed the stations v early so the instructor squeezed in some squat holds as a finisher for the class.
😎 Vibe:
— Overall everyone there was very nice and lively!
— It was my first time in this botique gym but the instructor was very approachable and we even had a short chat in between the workout.
— The people there are very lively and have a good, friendly relationship with the instructors, a lot of them were joking saying they don’t want to finish the workout, etc. and a lot of teasing back and forth also LOL
🚿 Facilities Review:
— The gym is located in an old school Tiong Bahru house that was repurposed into a gym
✅ Shelves to store belongings (no lockers tho)
🤔 Shower available but no soap/shampoo
❌ No towels provided I think…
✅ Shoe rack available to store shoes.
❌ Only one toilet… so a bit ps to shower there cus people will be waiting for you!
✅ Besides the open floor, they also have some machines for their personal training classes.
💭 Would you recommend?
— YES, the functional fitness class was really fun and something new to try if you’re used to just sticking to gym!
— HOWEVER, it seems there needs to be some level of weight training knowledge as we did complex movements like RDLs and Deadlifts. The instructor does explain a little but I’m not sure if they will go through and hand hold you throughout the class as they have to attend to the other participants also.
— Also if you’re particular about being able to shower plus having lots of facilities, the studio might not be for you. (At least for the Tiong Bahru outlet!)
🤑 How I saved money on the class!
— There’s this upcoming app called Vibe Fam that always shares last minute classes that are available.
— The list is literally the first thing you see on the app home screen!
— Also you can book classes from 1 day+ to 30mins in advance HAHA
— The class I booked is usually $24.45 but I only paid $18 which was 25% off!! That’s /a lot/.
— There’s even almost 50% off for some classes! (PushPullGive Reformer classes go from $41 to $25 😳)
— No sign up fee or anything also 🤪
— The only downside is you can only book a last minute class from each studio once a month (but that’s okay cus u can buy packages for each studio on vibefam itself, or just try another studio!)
— Also there’s only a few studios offering last minute classes atm, but hopefully there will be more soon!!
— App link in the comments (for easy copy and paste!) 😎
