I’m obsessed with glow bases. I have been using Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter for a few months. But Elf recently dropped their famous dupe. I decided to order and try it out to decide whether it’s worth the hype or not.
Unfortunately, Halo Glow doesn’t have a mini version so I had to buy a full-size. But I paid $14 which is less than a mini size of Flawless Filter. I picked the shade Fair 2 which turned out to be a little too dark on my skin. However, I am going to use it under my foundations, and all foundations I have are too light for my summer tanned face ahah. The package is incredibly similar with doe-toe applicator. The formula feels very close too: halo glow is ever so slightly creamier with better slip, but the difference is barely noticeable.
In my opinion, Halo Glow doesn’t look that good on its own, I would use it only as a base. Flawless Filter looks more natural even without foundation after. The shade range of CT is bigger but obviously it’s not a product where you would see many different shades.
I love both products but if you want to wear these filter as a foundation, I would choose Flawless Filter. If you need a glowy base, there is no reason to spend more.
