Allergic Reaction to Fake Nails

A tragedy has occurred! Two years ago I got my nails done as I usually did. This time my cuticles were itchy, extremely itchy to the point I woke up from my sleep and was already rubbing my hands together. I immediately got out of bed and took the nails off only to discover my nail beds were dark. Since then I hadn’t gotten my nails done and it took nearly 8 months to bring them back to health.

One day I figured I should be fine to get them done again, I was wrong! I got gel-x and the same reaction but 10xs worse. I took them off and this is what I’m working with now. I have thick skin under my nail plate, the brown/dark spots on what’s left of my nail bed. It’s embarrassing to show my hands. I went to the docs and was prescribed a steroid cream.
