this is the only guide you need to enter jb via train!

1️⃣ download the ktmb app

- i like using the app as i can easily check my tickets

- book two one way tickets separately for RM21.8 (~S$6.80) instead of return tickets which will cost you 33.6RM (~S$10.46) to save $$

- you will need to key in your details such as passport no & expiry date! (passport expiry date must be at least 30 days before departure date)

TIP ‼️ weekend tickets are highly sought for so you should book months in advance !! while weekday tickets can be bought few days before your trip !

2️⃣ how to take the train?

the train is located at Woodlands Train Checkpoint (different and NEXT to Woodlands Checkpoint)

nearest mrt: marsling mrt

available buses: 170,178,856,903,911,912,913,950

the easiest route is to take bus 178 from marsiling mrt station and alight after 3 stops or bus 911 from woodlands mrt station (6 stops)

3️⃣ go through immigrations

queue at the gate > gate opens 30 minutes before departure > operator will scan your passport > go through singapore customs (singaporeans can go through the egates, no need mdac) > go through malaysian customs > take the train > reach jb in 5 minutes & you are free to explore !!

TIP ‼️arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the train departure timing to avoid missing the train as it departs punctually !!

TIP 2 ‼️always have your passport in your hands for a quick and smooth experience
