Scammed in Insurance

Here’s a lesson for all my fellow job seekers. I learnt it the hard way, financially too.

It was a group within an agency trying to get more “headcounts” so that people within that group can promote to become managers. From what I thought was doing events eventually scammed into doing insurance which was something I’ve been avoiding during my job search.

They mentioned that the contract I’ve signed is just a headcount and I’ll not be doing sales so I’ll just receive as normal salary and the managers will deal with the sales - just parking it under our names. Which I thought, okay no harm right?

Eventually after so much persuading from the managers, I decided to try out sales and really worked hard.

Honestly, I was slaying it ngl. ✨

Fast forward, someone whistleblow about this method of hiring and the managers are double-earning from this. The entire group was then asked to leave and I was left to pay off this contract clawback.

💀It was 10 over thousands!!!💀

And I was still charged income tax full amount with bonuses that I didn’t receive. (> $60k)

I am still paying off this income tax till now.

So be careful if you’re looking for a job that’s not insurance. Do your research about the company that reaches out to you, read reviews if possible.
