Black Cake

Covey's story will live with me forever, although the book started off very slow for me and I almost DNF it. I'm glad I continued to read this book. Covey left a legacy that no one will never forget. She was a brave woman forced to leave her home, and embarked upon an entire new name and journey. I love how the author tells Covey/ Elenor story, through her children, family, friends but more importantly through the black cake.
