East & Renter-Friendly Wallpaper Archway

OK I think this is one of my favorite DIYs I’ve ever done!

Ever since I painted the orange squiggle on the neighboring door frame, I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with this one. I didn’t necessarily want to paint it, but I did want to do something fun to match the orange squiggle’s energy! 🌈🫶

I got one panel of this super fun renter-friendly wallpaper from Otto Studio and decided it was perfect for a fun and unique DIY!

Here’s how I did it -

✨ Clean door frame with soap and water (this helps the wallpaper adhere to the wall)

✨ Measure the width of the frame where you will be applying wallpaper

✨ Cut wallpaper vertically into strips that are equal to the width of the doorframe

✨ Start applying wallpaper at the bottom of one side and work your way up

I couldn’t get the seams of the wallpaper to match up, so I cut flowers out of the leftover scraps of paper and used them to cover the seams! It worked great!
