Drugstore lip dupe for Dior? Transferproof and moisturizing?

I splurged so much on lipsticks this month so let me justify my expenses with a #SpillTheTea review on all lipsticks bought, September edition 😌

1. Catrice lip glow (Watermelon)

Popular on TikTok for being a dupe to Dior lip glow, I thought this was one of the best lip balms! Out of all the lip glows, this was definitely one of the most pinkish obvious shades but it fades to a nice tint by the end of the day

Verdict: MUST BUY 👑

2. Peripera ink velvet (01 and 28)

Peripera has been a consistent hype in SG for so many months, I don’t know of a single girl who doesn’t know about this brand! Recently, they had a 1-for-1 promo on Watsons so I decided to get it in 2 shades: 28 (pinkish rose) and 01 (warm bright orange red). I felt 28 wasn’t suitable for lighter yellow skin tones like me as it washed out my skin tone, making me look abit sickly unlike 01 which made my face look more bright and youthful! Furthermore, I didn’t find it long lasting on me as the colour faded pretty quickly.

Verdict: CAN BUY 😕

3. Maybelline superstay vinyl ink (35 and 65)

An improvement of the OG Maybelline Superstay, I’m LIVIN’ for this new version!! I personally didn’t enjoy the original Superstay because although yes it’s really matte and long lasting, it was quite drying and also wouldn’t budge if for example, I accidentally overlined my lips a little too much and want to wipe it off. This one on the other hand, provides a slight gloss which keeps my lips moisturised, transferproof, and also long lasting! Only con is that it comes in 6 shades and I felt none of them suits the kind of colour I look out for in lippies (rosy nude). The closest I could find would be 65. 35 was too pink for my liking and again made me feel my skin tone looked washed out.

Verdict: MUST BUY

4. Sunnies Matteface (Brunette and Major)

This has been all the hype for lipsticks that are perfect for Asian skin tones. I got it in 2 shades: Brunette (brown nude) and Major (warm red). Compared to liquid lipsticks, I personally found these sort of lipsticks harder to apply accurately. However, it’s super creamy and smooth in terms of application!

VERDICT: CAN BUY

5. Silkygirl Gen Matte Lip cream (08 Red rebel)

Randomly saw this at Guardian and decided to get it despite it not being any sort of viral lipstick at the moment. The applicator makes it easy to apply, and it’s also really long lasting! To me, this is the most perfect boss babe shade of red. Super cool toned and not too bright! (Unlike Major which is a slightly brighter warm red). I like how it’s also easily blendable so even if I accidentally over line, it’s not difficult to adjust the mistake.

Verdict: MUST BUY
