Tips for Baby’s First Haircut

When Jack started growing a mullet, I knew it was time 🤣.

Jack has had about 5 haircuts since these were taken but here is what got us through the first haircut scaries.

1) Make sure baby has had a snack and isn’t overtired. Jack was still on two naps when he had his first haircut, so I took him after his first nap.

2) Bring a form of comfort: A binky, stuffed animal, etc.

3) Consider a kids-focused salon, as the stylists are used to first-timers.

4) Celebrate - we went to Chick-fil-A for a little mommy-son lunch after Jack’s haircut.
