After traveling to NYC with my family last month, I had the most unexpected and unforgettable time! We visited many tourist attractions, but got to see so much of the city! We took public transport just about everywhere and walked a total of about 30 miles in 3 days. Insane, I know! But there’s so much to do in a city that’s truly so charming.

Here’s a few places I would recommend if it’s one of your first times to the city!

Sporting Event- We just so happened to visit during the world famous US Tennis open! It was definitely great to get to experience such a unique and fun event that NY is known for.

Little Island- This park built right on the Hudson River is sooo beautiful and newly built. They have completely free summer performances and events that are super family friendly. Plus, you have a really pretty view of the city from the upper deck.

Soho/Little Italy- Soho is soo fun to walk around! It’s definitely the place to go if you want to shop at big retailers and some that are more niche. I did a little shopping and A LOT of window shopping.

One World Observatory- This is definitely the most “touristy” thing we did, the $50 admission didn’t disappoint. They have a beautiful 360 view of the city, which is truly and without a doubt so breathtaking. I went in the day but next time I’d love to see it at night! They also have a full bar, cafe, and sit down restaurant to enjoy a few more hours.

Central Park- This is major! While Manhattan and Brooklyn have so many charming parks, you’ll find so many people sunbathing at Central Park in the summer because it IS that park. I loved visiting the Bethesda Terrace and Fountain!

These are just a few of the many places I would recommend. Keep a look out for my favorite food finds in NYC!
