I’ll be introducing this creamy and savoury corn soup that is good for a light meal.
You can use fresh or canned corn.
I’m using the canned corn kernal that you can easily find from the supermarket.
Here’s the ingredients you’ll need.
1 tbs butter
1 tbs flour
½ chopped onion
1 cloves of chopped garlic
1 cup water
1 cup cream/milk
1 chicken cube
1 cup corn kernal
White pepper
Spring onion for garnish
Steps :
1. Melt butter
2. Add in chopped onion and garlic
3. Saute onion and garlic
4. Add in flour, cook out the raw flour taste
5. Add water or chicken stock
6. Add in corn kernel.
7. Add in chicken cube
8. Blend according to your liking. I like mine with some chucnky corn texture.
9. Then, add in milk/cream
10. Season with white pepper. Done!
If you happen to have chicken stock, please omit chicken cube and water.
And if you like your soup to be lighter, feel free to use milk instead of cream.
