Like previously mentioned, I am finally going to try and do my first 5K in the next 2-3 months before it gets too cold outside. BIG THANKS to
πLEMONSπ @Sarai & @nessa!!! For the app suggestions!! They were game changers in getting started and my motivation.
The App I ended up choosing was the C25K app suggested by @nessa!!! . Itβs super streamlined, easy to use, and honestly my first day was a BREEZE. I hope everyday is this easy but I know that wonβt be the case π Anyway, the app gives you intervals of running and walking. My first day I did 12 minutes of walking and 8 minutes of running. 20 minute workout + 5 min warmup + 5 min cool down. I think the most important thing is that Iβm not dreading to do this tomorrow which will help me with consistency. The app also shows you how many calories you burned, the path you took, how many miles you ran, steps, and gives you the option to share progress pictures.
I actually have a very wishy washy tummy and sometimes I wake up famished and other times the idea of breakfast makes me π€’ . Today was one of those days where breakfast was just unappealing. In order to replenish my energy for the day I did my best to eat a balanced breakfast, consisting of an orange and Special K Chocolate cereal π« π₯£ with oat milk.
@Sarai in my previous post mentioned the Dickβs Sporting Goods App and how it gives you 3 points a day for running! Not to mention the 100 points you get for downloading the app and 100 for signing up. Not sure what the points do yet but Iβm excited to find out!
Lastly was my #REVENGEBOD playlist I made on Spotify!
