Beach photoshoot inspo 🌊🏄‍♂️☁️🌴

Nothing better than a successful beach photoshoot!!

My top tips:

🤍 Search for interesting locations, leave lots of head space in photos to take in scenery. Some ideas for near-beach photos include rooftops, docks, in the dunes (if it’s safe), etc.

🤍 Use. A. Tripod. !! I got my tripod off Amazon and it is GREAT! I’ve used it for different events and it has held up great for a quick investment I made a few months ago.

🤍 Remember that no one is paying as much attention to you as you are! It feels weird to whip out a tripod at the beach, BUT going during dinner time might help it be more quiet and prevent photobombs ;) and if you’re on vacation you’ll likely never see those people again!

🤍 I was on the ocean side of Florida instead of the Gulf side. SO the sun was setting behind the dunes instead of over the water. Having the sun be in front of you instead of behind you at sunset time is BEAUTIFUL!

🤍 If you’re looking for candid pics, try taking a video instead of using self-timer. It might lower the quality of the photo just a tad, but it makes it much faster to get the shot you want. Live photos work too!

🤍 I edit my photos using VSCO or Lightroom :) I usually just up the contrast and saturation, then I adjusted the colour balance to be more pink/blue to match the colours in the sky!

🤍 Oh, also! If you’re having issues with getting your hair to cooperate (curly/wavy haired girl here lol) don’t be afraid to use that to your advantage when it comes to poses! I was trying to hide the frizz of my hair by putting my hood up and ended up getting that final photo :)
