You might have heard of kundalini yoga around the wellness scene but you could be wondering what is it exactly? Let’s talk really quickly about what kundalini energy is first. There is energy that lies dormant at the base of our spine. When activated through meditation, breath and certain poses this energy begins to spiral up our spine through the crown of our head. This spiral of energy almost emulates a serpent and is said to contribute to our spiritual awakening and self awareness.

Kundalini yoga utilizes asanas to fast track the activation of this energy. I’ve been practicing this and I will say that while I’ve always loved vinyasa (aka power yoga) kundalini yoga has helped me in regards to my spiritual journey versus the athleticism some other yoga formats have to offer.

Just like anything, getting into something new takes time. These are 3 insanely easy poses to try in the morning that are extremely beneficial. Do them 3 mins each.
