My birth story.

This is my second kid and both labor and births were so different! With my first, I labored for 70 hours. Yes SEVENTY HOURS!!! He was sunny side up so spine to spine and the labor was dreadful. I pushed him out in 4 minutes though! No tearing 🙏🏼I delivered him at 40+3 weeks! Now with my second, I did things a little differently. I was 39 weeks and my midwife and doctor were going to be out of town on my due date, so I checked dilation and they said it’s any day now. I LOVE my OB and midwife so I was like what can I do to speed up the process lol.. so I took MIDWIVES BREW 🥤 with the thumbs up from my midwife I took it at 39 weeks 3 days. Within 4 hours I was having full contractions, I went to the hospital at 3am, and had him, with my midwife and OB, at 9am! I tried to push through the contractions and see how long I can go before the epidural. I was 7cm when I finally got one. I was waiting for it to kick it, but it never did 🥲 I was making noises and screams I never knew I could make 😂 I was yelling TAKE WHATEVER IS BURNING OFF MY BACK and they said I’m feeling the ring of fire and I need to push through 🤪 I felt as though I was splitting open, but weirdly I didn’t tear!!! Pushing took about 6 minutes and I was so happy with how it all went! Even with a failed epidural I’m proud of myself for doing the damn thing!!!!! I love hearing other mamas birth stories, it’s so empowering and inspiring. WOMEN ARE AMAZING!!!
