This tastes better than Genki’s mentaiko fries!!

This is the first time I’ve ever tried mentaiko fries I like more than Genki’s mentaiko fries 🥲 & what’s even better, the cafe that serves it is super cute & aesthetic!! 🥹

We went there on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm, and could get seats immediately! There are no physical menus but there’s a QR code that links to a digital menu. Everything sounded really good…but we weren’t hungry so we just got a drink & the mentaiko fries.

✧• Iced Mocha ($7) - 4/5

The iced mocha came pretty quickly and I really enjoyed the blend of the coffee + the chocolate! Both were pretty well balanced, I could taste both the coffee & the chocolate. It was aromatic & flavourful, my only complaint is that they don’t serve it with straws…which I understand #savetheturtles but I would have appreciated a metal straw/spoon to stir the mocha as the ice melts so I don’t only drink the layer of melted ice on the top 🥲🥲

✧• Mentaiko Fries ($15) - 6/5!!

I wasn’t even hungry (in-fact I was feeling pretty full) but the moment I tried these fries I couldn’t stop eating it 🥹 The fries were crispy and hot and the sauce tasted sooo gooddd, I literally crave it while writing this now….I don’t live near east coast but I would def travel back there just for these fries HAHAHAH

✧• Cafe Vibes - 5/5

The cafe was very aesthetic imo & I really liked the inclusion of all the plants in the cafe! The design was also quite unique & gave me bali beach club vibes~

They have both outdoor & indoor spaces (we sat indoors and there was aircon), but I would say it was pretty noisy there, so I wouldn’t recommend it as a cafe to study, but more to chill with friends/family!
