Delivery in Singapore

Where should you deliver to your precious little one in Singapore?

I always wanted to deliver in a private hospital as i believe the service provided is definitely better

And with all the hormones or whatnot

I visited Thomson medical knowing for sure I will be wanting to deliver my baby there.

I visited the gynae and i liked the service

But I decided to swap to KKH in week 31 of my pregnancy

Reason : MONEY 💸💸💸 ( one and only reason )

I thought that i could afford Private Hospital however after preparing months and months for the arrival of the little one ( ill share in the next post what i have prepared )

I realised it is too costly to have a child in Singapore despite having government’s help

It will always be better to have more cash in bank rather than to splurge for the delivery in a private hospital

From what i have searched online

1. Delivery in private hospital can easily be $20k (given that there is no complications throughout the entire stay/delivery)

2. Delivery in Government hospital as a private patient is around $10k or so before medisave deductions

There is a difference in terms of the service for sure.

But for me ( very selective and choosy and particular ) patient, i think that Government hospital is not as bad as what i thought.

Tips - if you are like me ( wanna save money but also want a better service especially in the first few months of the pregnancy )

You can choose to see a Gynae in private hospitals and then swap to government hospital for delivery
