How I Overcame My Fears When I Switched Careers

This is probably the realest I’ve ever gotten on Lemon8! But I’m happy to share my journey and thought process with you all, especially if you’re contemplating a career change or just struggling to figure out where you are in your life.

Thinking about it now, I spent about ten years working towards being a music teacher. Starting from when I was 13 or 14, I worked every single day towards the goal of being a music teacher, and I gave blood, sweat, and tears in getting my teaching degree and in teaching at the full-time job I had for two years. I wouldn’t change a thing about my journey, and I don’t necessarily have any regrets, but I am REALLY happy I made the switch. My marriage, my mental health, my physical health, and my friendships have all benefited from this change.
