Mind-muscle connection is one of the most UNDERRATED methods to maximize gym gains, and actually has a ton of research studies to demonstrate it’s effectiveness, even comparably to progressive overload🙌 Something I wish I knew sooner is before moving onto heavier lifts, it is literally SO important to perfect your form and develop that mind-muscle connection because that is your FOUNDATION that will dictate the effectiveness of your workout before anything else🤌🏼 Here are some methods that have helped me the most🥰 I also have to say pilates has definitely helped me develop the mind-muscle connection as well!✨
-implement isolation movements
-touch the muscle you’re working during each set
-focus on feeling the muscle during each rep (maybe even pausing at the top or slowing your rep down)
-visualize what muscle you’re working and how you want it to look as a result
-flex in between sets (actually so effective)
