Breaking my ankle & having surgery 🦴🩺

Hello, so I wanted to share this because life isn’t always pretty or perfect.

To start off, this happened about two years ago. It was during hurricane season in Florida. At the time my family and I lived in my grandmas property in an rv. We could only use the bathroom at my grandmas house.

It was around 1:30 AM - 2:00 AM in the morning and I had to use the bathroom. I was walking over to my grandmas house and turned the corner, from where it was raining there was very slick mud.

I fell and I landed on my right foot, in a sitting down position. I heard a snap and from the adrenaline I was able to pull it out from underneath me.

Then I couldn’t move it, I was in so much pain. I went to the emergency room that night.

I broke my tibia, sprained my Achilles tendon, tore ligaments, and shattered my lateral malleolus.

They did surgery, put pins in my ligaments, put something in my ankle called an “anchor” it’s pretty much like a rod with screws. And a screw in the left side of my ankle.

They did this so it wouldn’t re break in the future, and so that it wouldn’t grow sideways.

I thankfully didn’t have to do physical therapy because I was constant with it at home.
