this was my second time at Tangy Noodle - Chelsea because i could not get over how garlic-y and good their garlic butter noodles were 🤤 this restaurant is heavily inspired by, and carries on the legacy of shorty tang, a taiwanese chef who introduced szechuan cuisine to NYC’s chinatown 🇹🇼🇨🇳🇺🇸 he’s famous for inventing cold sesame noodles, which are a super popular noodle dish today 🍜 also mostly everything was under $20 here so we went wild and got the whole spread 😌

what we ordered (🫶🏼 = my faves):

-drinks: passionfruit capirinha, sparkling sunrise 🫶🏼, brown sugar bubble tea

-garlic butter prawn noodles 🫶🏼

-red chili mouthwatering chicken 🫶🏼

-golden pickle fish broth

-beef, tripe, and tendon noodle soup

-garlic & chicken broth pea shoots

-dandan noodles 🫶🏼

-steamed lotus wrap pork ribs with sticky rice

-homemade wonton with chili sauce 🫶🏼

-desserts: mini sesame dumplings, brown sugar rice cakes

i love how all of their noodles are made fresh daily in-house 🥹 so fresh and super yummy. the garlic butter sauce is 1000/10 if you’re a fan of creamy and heavy garlic flavor 🧄🧈❤️ and the prawns were quite juicy and tasty as well! the dandan noodles flavor was so good, it was JUST spicy enough to make me suffer but we all gotta work for good things right 😤🥵 and their mouthwatering chicken has kind of been the first time i’ve liked this dish LMAO… made me a beginner fan of the mala flavors and spices 😌
