chrome isolation tutorial 🌟

After years of working with chrome and trying out different methods, I’m sharing my secrets on how to get flawless chrome isolation! It’s actually super simple! ⬇️

Method 1:

Simply wipe off the inhibition layer with acetone and a lint-free wipe. Test if your chrome sticks, all base colors are formulated different but majority of the time this works!

Method 2:

Add base gel all over the nail, fully cure, wipe with acetone and a lint-free wipe. This method will always work for me. I use @dndgel base gel and it has never failed me!

Additional pointers:

•Mix top coat and black gel polish for a reflective look. Alternatively use a non-wipe gel polish.

•Use a sponge to wipe off all specks of chrome left behind, make sure to really get into all sides.

•When top coating the final nail make sure your top coat brush is loaded, having a dry brush will wipe the chrome around.
