What to pack for Greece in September + October

Shoulder season is in full swing around the end of September-Beginning of October. This means less crowds, but still warm enough weather to do all the classic Greece bucket list items.

That being said, the weather can kind of feel all over the place. Even one island can feel completely different to the next. So packing versatile pieces are a must. I’ve highlighted a few of the main items to bring as well as a general packing list to help you get started.

👗Maxi dresses:

There are several reasons why I suggest maxis. There are a lot of steps in Greece and the last thing you want is your 🍑 being seen by the people on the steps behind you. There are also parts of the country that are super modest and expect for knees and shoulders to be covered for women. They’re also great for the cooler days because your legs will be covered, yet they’re still breezy enough for warmer days.

👚Graphic tees and maxi skirts:

I love styling a graphic tee and they’re always a must-have on vacation. They go great with any bottom and can be dressed up or down. I find that they’re great to have on vacation because they’re effortless and an easy go-to when you’re not sure what to wear that day. They’re also perfect for those god awful travel days. Same goes for a flowy maxi skirt. They’re always so comfy and can really elevate a look without looking like you’re trying to hard.

🥼Matching sets:

I am forever team co-ords and sets. They’re great because they can even give you three outfits in one, assuming you’re able to style the pieces separately. This is a great way to save space in your suitcase AND have multiple outfit options. I highly suggest finding a set that has pants and a separate matching top so that you can rewear the pants on a cooler day/evening in Greece.

👙Swimsuit:

Between the ocean and the non-heated pools, swimming during shoulder season was a bit chilly. I still suggest packing a swimsuit, however, in case you opt for a fun boat day or just to lay out and tan on the beach.
