I have family in Minneapolis St Paul which means I’m a frequent visitor. And while I love my family more than anything, I’d say certain foods in MSP I almost love more (kidding but not). Maybe because they feel like comfort food being in the company of family, but these items truly are things I look forward to eating the second I hop off the flight. There’s so much more on my list than just these, but let’s start with the top of the top of my list.

Boludo

💰Price: $

🇦🇷 : It’s a taste of Buenos Aires in MSP. You can taste the Argentinian flavors in their empanadas.

🍕: All the pizzas are delicious but the pepperoni is that b*tch with the tiny roni cups acting like little pools for the grease.

🥟: They’re also famous for their empanadas (yes I know that’s a dumpling emoji). I personally wasn’t a huge fan aside from the Jamin y Queso empanada (pictures in the cover image).

Black Walnut Bakery

💰Price: $$

🥖: This bakery has so many yummy treats you won’t know where to start! They have hot pressed sandwiches, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

🍞: The egg and cheese sandwich with ham is what dreams are made of. My sister suggested it and I wasn’t too hyped because I’m not a big egg sandwich person. However, the fluffiness of the egg combined with the delicious pressed croissant, ham, and aioli makes for the perfect combination.

Marc Heu Patisserie Paris

💰Price: $$

🥐: So many stunning baked goods and cakes that make you feel like you’re in Paris. Even my baby nieces couldn’t get enough of their croissants and cakes!

🍰: The first time I walked in the cheesecake immediately caught my eye. It looked so fluffy I knew I had to have it. It has just the right amount of sweetness, creaminess, and fluffiness in every bite. Next time I’m buying a whole cake.

Marty's Deli

💰Price: $

🥪: This is a newer spot in the city, but it is a new favorite for many. The menu is incredibly simple which I love. It’s also women-run and led which I love even more!

🥑: Even though we went for breakfast, I saw the Uncle Pete on the menu and knew I had to try it. The bread is a delicious focaccia and the inside filled with bacon, tomato, pickled green tomatoes, lettuce, basil, and aioli.

I’m heading back to MSP in a few weeks. What should I try next??
