What I ate:

• Beignets — Sweet fried pastry with powdered sugar

• Mini King Cake — Mini king bundt cake topped with cinnamon swirl icing, Mardi Gras sprinkles

What I drank:

• Category 5 Hurricane cocktail — Cruzan dark rum, Myers's dark rum, lime juice, orange juice, simple syrup, passion fruit purée, grenadine

What I did:

• Explored the immersive, themed Tribute Store

• Watched roaming stilt walkers, performers, and a little band

• Caught tons of beads and danced along at the parade

• Enjoyed the general ambiance and decor
