discovering yuka has been such a blessing!! instead of spending all my time reading labels in the store, i can just scan it to find out!

having to research and learn about whether an ingredient is harmful takes sooo much time and cross-checking. idk bout y’all but i’m too busy for that!

this app takes all the guesswork out of it 🥰 so that i can feel confident that what i’m buying is good for my body, AND good for the environment!

what i love most 💗 is that for the ingredients it says are hazardous, it gives you an explanation of why - plus links to the resources it used to determine that so that you can see for yourself!

⭐️ in one of my previous posts i know some of you said the scoring on Yuka might not be accurate, and recommended EWG instead - i went ahead and tried that app too, but it didn’t have the feature of citing specific sources for their scores, which is one of the most valuable parts of the app to me ⤵️

you don’t have to take the score Yuka gives as gospel! it’s real value is in providing the studies/findings for each of the ingredients - and then ✨you✨ can determine whether those things are something you want to avoid 🫶

as with anything to do with health recommendations, pls remember take it with a grain of salt! only you know what does and doesn’t work for your body, and what a good balance looks like for you ⚖️✨
