sometimes you just don’t feel comfortable in your own skin ❤️🩹 with all the distractions, dopamine overload, and busyness of the world, it can be easy to feel overstimulated and out of place physically.

how to feel safer/more at ease in your body ⤵️
1️⃣ eating without distraction
take 15 minutes every day to enjoy a meal, any meal. prep your food, sit down, and taste it without watching TV, scrolling on social media, or any other distractions.
2️⃣ move your body regularly
it doesn't matter if you go to the gym, do regular yoga classes, dance in your room, go for a run, or do a few minutes of stretching. the focus is on feeling your body, getting familiar with its sensations, and releasing some of the built-up tension.
3️⃣ create firm and clear boundaries between your work and personal life
it will help you be more focused when at work, and enable you to really relax when you are not.
4️⃣ seek opportunities to excel outside of work
find something that brings you a sense of accomplishment, in your private life. this will help you build a better sense of accomplishment and increase your self-esteem.
5️⃣ rest regularly
and by this, i don't mean 8 hours of sleep at night. i mean paying attention to your body, and recognizing when it needs time out.
say no things, and learn to preserve your own energies.
6️⃣ learn to receive
let others to help you, take compliments with grace, and assess any request for help before you automatically say 'yes'.
7️⃣ question your thoughts
your thoughts are not you, and if you habitually let intrusive negative thoughts overpower you, you lose control over your emotions (and then often your actions)
8️⃣ regulate your nervous system
a dysregulated nervous system causes your body not to feel safe. learn about your sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system! learn to mitigate your stress response
