nashville lookbook

i turn 21 in less than a month, and what better way to celebrate than going to nashville with my best friends (parents included ofc)?

less than a month away means i need to finally figure out what i will be wearing. on the itinerary is a group dinner friday night, brunch saturday morning, and a bar crawl saturday night! so basically three important outfits to be made. the forecast is about 40 degrees and cloudy, just like here in ohio, so i definitely kept that in mind.

when i'm planning outfits i always start in my closet and see what i have to work with. then, i'll go to pinterest and look for looks containing those pieces. from there i try to work some magic!

here are my looks:

friday night i started with this dress i got from francesca's for my cousin's southern wedding. i liked the slight ruffles because it felt a little more southern belle-ish. i knew in the moment it would also make a perfect piece on my nashville trip, but since it is a little nicer, i decided to use it in my dinner look. of course i'm wearing my boots with every outfit, so i want to complete this look with a fringe jacket. i'm worried i won't be able to find exactly what i'm looking for, so i may end up settling for a blazer or cardigan.

for saturday brunch, i wanted to keep it simple and warm. i started with my bell bottom jeans because i truly love them, but they are sadly not in style any more. nashville seems like the perfect place to bring some life back info them! i decided to pair them with my white sweater to keep me warm, and pinterest was begging me to buy a fur-lined coat. instead, i'll opt for my oversized jean jacket (i love denim).

for saturday night, i started with my black mini skirt. i also rarely get to wear this because i do not go out. ever. i will be bringing some black pantyhose in case it gets too cold! i want to style this with a body con-type top, which i'm not relatively picky about. i'm also pairing this with my denim jacket and maybe a hat (if i find one down there).
