tiktok viral circular croissants worth the hype? 🤔

Finally made time to pop by Swish Rolls for their swiss rolls & viral croons! ✨

The hype definitely died down as there was no queue at all on a weekend morning. They usually release 2 batches (9am & 1pm) and they were unfortunately out of their pistachio flavoured items when I reached at 10am. 🥲

For their swiss rolls, I got their Hazelnut Chocolate & Earl Grey Yuzu ones! Enjoyed how refreshing the latter was but I wish the rolls were more moist and fluffy. The cream within also got slightly heavy towards the end.

As for the viral circular croissants, I found them pretty underwhelming. Perhaps because the flavours left that I got were the less popular one, I found most of the cream fillings rather lacklustre but the pastry itself was sufficiently buttery, crispy and flakey. I would recommend just getting their Crackly Sea Salt Butter croon with no filling, that is lightly glazed with syrup and toast it/heat it up before eating! 🥐 The Toffee Gingy and Deep Dark Valrhona Chocolate croons were too sweet and overwhelming for my liking.

Overall, I don't think I would revisit even though I missed out on their Loaded Pistachio & Summer Berried Croons.
